Terms of Use

What the service is

Letterin helps you keep one master profile and compose a separate CV for each job posting. Which sections appear, their order and the template are under your control; the AI only suggests text adaptations for the posting, and every suggestion requires your approval. Output can be exported as an ATS-friendly PDF or Word (.docx) file.

Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and the security of your account. You may delete your account at any time; deletion permanently removes all of your data.

Free plan

Creating and editing CVs, choosing templates, exporting to PDF and Word, and application tracking are unlimited on the free plan: there is no cap on how many CVs you build or how often you download them, and no watermark is added to your files.

The only thing metered is AI usage. Tailoring, cover letters, CV import and match scoring are counted in tokens against a monthly allowance that renews on the first day of each month. When the allowance runs out, AI features pause for the rest of that month; your CVs, editing and downloads stay available. Your remaining allowance is shown on the Settings page.

Paid plan, payment and refunds

The Pro plan raises your monthly AI allowance; nothing in the free plan is restricted. Current plans and prices are published on the pricing page. The amount you will pay, including taxes, is shown at checkout before you confirm the order.

Sales and invoicing are handled by our payment provider, which acts as the merchant of record for the sale: it issues the invoice and accounts for sales taxes. The provider's legal name and address are shown at checkout, before you confirm the order, and on your invoice. Your payment details are never passed to us and are not stored on our side.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the period you chose and are charged to your payment method. You can stop the renewal at any time: Settings → Manage subscription takes you to our payment provider's customer portal. After cancelling, Pro access continues until the end of the period you have paid for, and your account then returns to the free plan. Your CVs and documents are not deleted.

Refunds: if you ask within 14 days of your first payment we refund it in full, with no reason required. Write to info@letterin.app; the refund is issued by our payment provider back to your original payment method. Outside that window we do not refund the remainder of the current period; you can stop the renewal instead. Your statutory withdrawal and refund rights as a consumer are unaffected by these terms.

We may change prices. A change applies to an existing subscription only from the next renewal period and only after reasonable advance notice; if you do not accept it you can cancel before that date.

If a payment fails, our payment provider retries at intervals and notifies you. Pro access may continue during that period; if payment still cannot be taken, the account returns to the free plan.

Ownership of your content

Your CV is yours. You keep all rights to the content you enter and the CVs you create. You grant us only the limited processing needed to run the service: storing your data, rendering previews, generating PDFs, and — at your request — sending text to the AI provider for tailoring. We do not use your content for anything else.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the service in violation of applicable law.
• Do not enter another person's personal data without their permission.
• Do not use it to deliberately produce misleading or forged documents.
• Do not abuse the infrastructure (automated bulk requests, attempts to breach security, etc.).

AI output and disclaimer

AI suggestions are drafts based on the information you provide; verifying them before use is your responsibility. Letterin does not guarantee employment, interview invitations, or passing any ATS system. The service is provided "as is".

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Letterin is not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the service (lost opportunities, data loss, lost earnings, etc.). Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Changes

We may update these terms. Significant changes are announced on this page by updating the date at the top; continuing to use the service means you accept the current terms.
